Due to the benefit of having a port, Bilbao is the center of commercial hub. Industrialization also began during the 19th century which made the city into the second largest industrialized region of Spain. It is undergoing a constant renewal process, followed by investment in infrastructure, for these reasons Bilbao is heavily populated.

Climate

Due to the propinquity of Bay of Biscay, Bilbao enjoys an oceanic climate with rainfall occurring all through the year, the city sees a lot of rain mostly in April and October. Summer and winter are mild and not extreme; overall the weather remains wet with November being the wettest month.

Tourism

Tourism in Spain is all the rage, like most of the cities of Spain; Bilbao is also famous for tourism. The inauguration of the railway between Bilbao and Las Arenas made it into a beach destination. Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a fine example of contemporary art and architecture, admired by architectures around the world, located alongside the Nervion River it is an attractive place for tourists with the walls fully clad in titanium, glass and limestone it is an astounding sight. Apart from that the city has around 18 beautiful public parks for tourists to hang around. Bilbao is not only visited by people within the country but also internationally, mostly from France, United Kingdom, Germany & Italy. Venues like Euskalduna Conference Centre and Concert Hall, Bilbao Exhibition Centre has made Bilbao suitable and striking for business tourism as well, boosting the overall travel & tourism in Bilbao Spain.
