Footage of the Spain train crash that took place yesterday in the northwestern city of Santiago has emerged today. In the video a portion of the train is seen derailing after turning left at high speeds. The train turns on its side and hits a wall.

Ortega was reported missing after the train derailment took place, three kilometers away from Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia. The young woman was only 22 years old and was studying abroad in an exchange program as a law student.

Meanwhile, the Mexican embassy in Spain confirmed the death of a Mexican citizen but did not disclose the victim's name to the media out of respect for the family's privacy.

Before news of Ortega's death was confirmed, her boyfriend Luis Ledesma, asked for help on Twitter to find her and told news sources that the young lady had sent him a message through Facebook only five minutes before the train derailed.

It was also reported today that the young woman was the daughter of Mario Delfin Dominguez who was in charge of the State agency in charge of official police investigations.

The Mexican Foreign Ministry has said that up to this moment they have no further reports of other Mexicans that were injured or killed in the accident..

Government officials from the state of Veracruz have confirmed that they will give Ortega Delfin full support in order to repatriate the body to Mexico in the next few days.

News reports from Spain say that they have found comments on the Facebook account of the man who was operating the train, Francisco Jose Garzon Amo, in which he openly boasted of conducting the train at the highest speed allowed. Tests to detect any alcohol in his blood stream at the time of the accident have come back negative.
